Business Intelligence is a tool in designing a corporation’s strategic plan
April 28th, 2009 by Support | Filed under Administration software.Companies and organizations collect, store and retrieved data from their business operations and their management process, and these data are large in number. To be able to keep track of that information, the company needs application software such as Excel and other applications. These applications are used by various departments from the company and using many software applications can make the retrieving of data quiet hard and ineffective. It will be very ineffective if each department is using various kinds of program applications (such as lease software or CRM software) because this will make it hard for the searching and retrieval of data. And with the ineffective searching and retrieval, this will take much time and costs.
Business Intelligence is a tool or a system responsible in designing a corporation’s strategic plan. The term was first used in a 1958 article by Hans Peter Luhn. On 1989 Howard Dresner proposed to define business intelligence as methods and concepts used in decision making through the use of fact-based support systems. Until now this tool is used by many organizations to store, retrieve and access the gathered and collected information which helps the company in decision making.
